You've got to be kidding me!

[:1]A friend bought me a copy of Demigod today, and it took me seven hours to download it for some absurd reason. But here's the real problem; Impulse didn't ask me where I wanted it installed, and plopped it exactly where I didn't want it. Now I've run a search for "demigod," and apparently there's no installation file on my hard drive. Is there any way that I can reinstall the game without re-downloading it? For that matter, is there a way that I can download and install the game without Impulse, so that I can choose where it is installed to (and hopefully have a shorter download time)?|||Ok that sounds seriously wank.|||archive it,

I told it to archive Demigod, then when it finished that, I told it to uninstall the game. Then I told it to restore the archive, and I got a half-assed installation of about half the size it should have been.|||oh, that does suck. carry on.|||BulletMagnet|||Your concern is touching.|||Benny Moore|||Now that it's downloaded and installed into the correct place, it won't let me log onto my Impulse account from within the game. How irritating. I've e-mailed Stardock as the help file instructed. This is an incredibly bad system for such a good game.|||For future reference, under Impulse Preferences you can change the default install directory or simply tell it to prompt.



Not sure why it took so long for you to install, Impulse has always delivered blazing fast downloads for me.. It also took me 7 hours to do so. However, I was happy with the location it installed to. Where are you from Benny? not that it makes a difference tho i remembered unless its an aussie game my ping is way too high.



but, good luck in the arena. way more laid back than supcom.|||Maybe it's just because I'm not an expert, but I don't think ping matters terribly in this game. The netcode is good. I don't know why it gets slammed. (Impulse, on the other hand ...)|||Below 350 is fine. After that it gets annoying. Ping spiking will kill you though.
