Favor points are earned after each match. You get them by winning certain awards - most kills in the match, least deaths in the match, winning the match, etc. These points are used to buy special items. Any of these items that you have purchased in the past are available to be used in future matches, but only one can be used per match.|||There're different gameplay modes. The one described above is "Conquest", which is the most common, but there are other gameplay modes.
Basically, you're given control of your Demigod, and that's all you control. All of the "grunts" on the map are controlled by AI. There are two classes of Demigods- assassins and generals. If you are an assassin, you control just your Demigod. Generals have the ability to spawn "minions", which you can control in edition to your Demigod. You then work together with your teammates to complete the objective, buying items, upgrades, citedal upgrades (which help your whole team), and other items by using gold which you earn by killing other demigods and capturing gold mines on the map. You also earn experience, which allows you to level up and gain new abilities throughout the match. It's basically an objective based action RPG/RTS. More action RPG than RTS if you ask me.
Also, a quick question for anyone who knows. Are favor points awarded in custom games or is it only in Pantheon games?|||I just watched 4 Gameplay Movies & that's it im hooked I NEEDZ DEMIGODZ it looks epicly fun & I think at 1920 X 1080 Resolution it will look good
How long can you expect a rough 2v2 to take? and 5v5 is the maximum per game isn't it? im guessing them games take hours|||Hogo|||Holy crap, Demigods not about quickness then
is there 1v1?
Or is this about team play? Team play I hope
Also Whats the maximum level you can get in battle|||You can do 1v1, but the game works best with teams (it would be like playing 1v1 in Left 4 Dead- possible, but not a whole lot of fun). I'm honestly not sure there is a maximum level. I'll have to look into that.|||The maximum level is 20.
Large team games actually don't necessarily take longer than smaller teams; I've had 2v2 games that were longer than 3v3 because it takes longer to get enough gold to upgrade your creeps enough to destroy the enemy towers and reach their Citadel. 1v1 isn't that great; it is mostly about teams.|||4 v 4's and 5 v 5's tend to actually take less time than 2 v 2's, as with more Demigods you have more gold and more power, so the scales can tip very quickly; with 2 Demigods you lack the push to really get in and do serious damage to someones base unless the respawn timer is very high, with 5 Demigods even if the respawn is 10 seconds you can hit very hard in those 10 seconds.
