Background bug?

[:1]There appears to be a bug on the map "Ziggurat," wherein zooming out causes the background to zoom in instead of out. Is this known?|||That's never happened to me before.

Poor Benny! Demigod just doesn't like him.|||I think its just a side-effect of changing perspective.

Far as I know its intended in any case.|||Sevenix|||Demigod uses an enhanced version of SupComs Moho engine. I never noticed what you describe though. Then again, I hardly notice minor graphic bugs as long as my minions get stuck on every corner...|||We talked about it in beta. It is intended.|||Techubus|||Its a cool feature that happens when you zoom in while increasing Field of View to compensate. Its used in a lot of movies etc and I like the effect :)|||Benny Moore|||But it's the exact opposite of what actually happens when you increase zoom or move a camera closer to the target! It's impossible to do with a real camera, for one thing. When you increase zoom, the field of vision will decrease, not increase. In Demigod, however, when you move the camera closer, the background moves farther away. Again, this is an impossibility with a real camera or with the human eye, and the result is that it looks very trippy. No, it is not used in a lot of movies. It couldn't be used in any movies, barring animated films, due to the physical impossibility here. Are you sure you're seeing the same thing I'm seeing?|||Benny Moore|||I think what Spooky said is the same technique used in Hitchcock's Vertigo to show the main characters fear of heights.

Found a vid for you:

When you move the camera closer, at some point it zooms out. So you're moving the camera in and zooming out at the same time, accounting for the apparent contradiction.|||As we said it just a simple trick of camera movement and fov, it's NOT a bug.

As Col. Jessep linked in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A91SU8Gj6o#t=02m14s

you can clearly see how it works.|||I like it.|||Sevenix|||Col. Jessep
