Late Game and Artifacts

Once both sides are buffed with the tremendously powerful artifacts, what is the best course of action?

All of the scenario's I've been in like this, its ended up with either the assassin winning out because they are more inclined to deal damage, or a sedna just tanking it up like no tomorrow.

I imagine its either break for a win via completing the objective and avoiding the other demigods, but that is neigh impossible with the transportation going on all over the place...

I know, control the artifact shop, control the map, don't let it happen, make the killing blow before it gets to that point. But even putting gold income on low, so many games seem to come down to that still, and then it is a slow grind till one side wins. Its terribly frustrating.

Thing is, whenever I'm in the losing side of these matches, I have early advantage, sweep the field, push them back to the last defense, but inevitably they out level me (because they are on the defensive, getting more kills and exp perhaps?) and then we have a tug and war back and forth for awhile, and whichever demigod who gets to the unkillable level first usually pushes the other side to defeat.

Anyways, any tips? I play everyone except Erebrus, so maybe my problem is I'm too spread out, focus on one or two and just specialize in them perhaps?|||I'd suggest amping up your spawns as much as possible; if you can't easily take out or avoid the enemy Demigods you need to put constant pressure on them; spawn upgrades are probably the best way to do this.

If the game's reached the point where everything is upgraded and everyones full of artifacts then it pretty much just comes down to a slugging match; try and backdoor your way to victory if you can't win a straight out fight, or use better teamwork than they do is all i can think of.|||What they should do is make you continue to level up But not gain skill points just gain a certain amount of HP + Damage per level

& then as you slowly increase in HP & Damage so do your reinforcements so stronger giants & all.

There does Really need to be a way to finish the game

without have a slugfest|||Yeah, its fun until the slugfest starts, really. :(

I'll test the waters with new experiments on settings to see what works, but finals are killer right now.|||Best course of action: ignore the players, go for the citadel. If you die, no big loss, since the gold doesn't matter so much anymore.|||AngryZealot|||If you got Artifacts and it is a stand still go for critical items (3000 armour 1.5x, 3300 Gloves 2x, And Ashkandor 4x) and do a little more damage then them.|||Do those crits stack or do they just all happen on independent instances?|||If you already have all citadel upgrades though,|||sanman|||_PINK|||sanman|||That is epic.

Gotta try this now.|||Good suggestions. I find slug matches to be the exception rather than the rule to most games, so I enjoy the back and forth when it does happen.

When I do hit a stalemate my favorite strategy is to try and cap lock their back portals. That usually is all it takes to put enough pressure on them to take down the citadel.|||One way I've found to end it faster is to take over their portals. This will make sure they have reinforcements (at this time Giants) coming in from their own back door. They may be able to kill them fast but they can't be everywhere at once. Just one wave of them is enough to do significant damage to their citadel. This might work even better if you lock the flags to those portals, and constantly teleport in to relock them.|||Yeah, new best idea ever.

Kill towers of light/darkness before archer towers can get in there.

Then they'll never get their building built up.

Yup.

Funny thing happened, me and dormate were playing a lan match, I was Reg, he was Rook, two Hard AI. He took UB, I took Oak. He won, but only because UB got to level twenty while we were fifteen (he was actually sucking it up, twelve) and got two artifacts from what I could tell. I don't feel too bad, at least it was the AI who won the match not him ;)
