Queen of Thorns

Is far too under rated. What a brutal demigod. So many build options too...|||She can be a good support demigod.

Btw, how do you beat a QoT, Sedna, and Oak? The amount of healing and shielding that goes on against this matchup is insane.|||just focus fire after you've damage 2 down to 75% or so. Once one gets Oak shielded, you switch to the next one and normally you can take them down.

But it does require team effort.|||I've tried a lot to make her work well, but I just can't get an effective build.

The best I usually end up doing is just managing to survive. Her burst damage options are so mana intesnive (in fact, she is extremely mana intesnive in general, considering her rather power mana regen rate) that you can't afford to shield yourself AND do damage, and her health is so low by itself you can't afford to NOT shield yourself.

I can see her being powerful against Rooks or on Fortress with a siege oriented build, but IMO she needs better mana regen.

And really, you only have 3 build options. Pure offense, where you upgrade every attack spell and hope to god you can down the enemy DG faster than he can down you (works pretty well with all her defense killing abilities), Pure defense, where you use bramble shield and eat shamblers to stay alive, and siege, which is useless outside of fortress.

Ironically, all 3 builds make pretty heavy use of shamblers. But offense has the downisde of an extreme lack of utility, high risk, and the fact that you can only have enough mana to deal with a single DG. Defense has the downside that you don't actually DO anything...|||I tend to have to buy 2 and on the rare occassion 3 mana helms. But if you stay in closed form while low on hp and/or mana you'll get a really nice regen bonus.

Its hard to kill anyone with her but I get a lot of assists and always keep my lanes free from creeps. Her AoEs have so much range you just need to kite more. Also it isn't too advisable to only fight 1 DG at a time with her. You can double or even triple her effectiveness by only attacking when you can hit either a creep wave and a DG or just multiple DGs.

I do find it very easy to make others have to retreat from a fight with me. Which I can then proceed to tear their towers apart until they get back.|||I'm not sold on QoT, I believe she needs a bit of tweaking.|||She is still a bit on the weak side, especially against very experienced players. But she isn't nearly as bad as most players make her out to be.|||Her shields are a bitch to play agianst.

One team that is VERY hard to play agianst is QoT, Beast, and Reg.

Beast can just get shielded when retreating and reg can just snipe to cover UB.

All you have to do for a build is focus on being a support at first, then go damage. This way your ally dgs can focus on flags, and you can tower push or just stay behind and shield to get on other team's last nerves.|||Focus minions/shields then grind levels while they harass demis. You need the Hungarian whatever Crown and the Vlemish Faceguard then most mana problems don't occur. I usually just farm and cap flags till around lv 8 before going for my first shopping. You support your allies via farming and shielding along with your hordes. Push lanes and towers are easy as pie even without that useless uproot skill. Correctly positioning her autoattack is really beneficial.

The only problem I see is how badly the shield scales once artifacts are in play. The cooldown then is a killer.|||i played her for a while when i first started playing. i do like her but the fact too many of her abilities require you to have shamblers started to annoy me.|||I always figured the more minions the better.|||yeah, but i didnt like the lack of choice.|||Mulch or ground spikes?|||SleepWarz|||Shield, Ground Spikes, Spike Wave, then stats or Uproot is pretty offensive and assassinish|||The problem with QoT minion builds is that they require too many skill points. Oak/Erebus have less point requirements and get much better effects out of morale and minion buffing items.

Edit: Erebus also requires no mana for nightwalkers, and Oak requires very little to place wards.|||they also changed her ability to switch forms on the move, which for me made her almost unplayable.|||pkc|||A couple patches back, they made Instant-speed abilities, like switching forms, stop you for a second. You can approximate the effect by mashing on left-click while using the ability, but it's not the same.|||I thught it was always like that, switching forms always stopped me as QoT.

and yeah, you just click again the moment it pauses tokeep moving, it's not much of a pause if you're fast.|||It happens with UBs ooze too. Every time you switch it off UB will stop and attack the closest target. It's a real killer if you are running away from another demigod.
