[:1]Frogboy on Stardock-forums|||wow that's an old quote. as for frogboy he now restrains from posting on random trolling int he forums and just does the journals every 6-8 days. seems to working fine for now.|||There's been a lot of negative posts and forum goers in the Demigod community and Frogboy didn't want to have to deal with it. I don't blame him, sometimes while reading through some topics I wish I could email speeding fists or boots to some of the posters.|||Soul|||Reading that made me *sadface*. I kinda know why it's happening though. We need a place like Halcyon. A place to call home, where we can stick together and get to know each other a bit better. That was the awesome thing about supcom. The closest thing DG currently has is a semi-dead IRC channel filled with idle people or noobs calling themselves ADMIN___.
I love the game, i love the devs, but to keep my fire burning i need some good social cohesion with the other players.|||Tommy Sprat|||needs mawr maps|||Forums can be a really terrible idea. Every petulant, unprofessional 14yo with a grudge and juvenile understanding of business can log on and cause mischief. The sooner developers learn not to treat all forum users as equals, the better imo. Can you imagine giving a sh1t in a board meeting because a child blundered in to tell you your game suxors? Lols.|||i remember back in the day when forum privileges had to be earned from the get go. having to reply at least 50 times before being able to post anything... not being able to post in the general forums until u we at least rank 3... having to kick *** until u were even able post pictures.
that were the day... the days of modem screeching connections and the internet being only usable by basement dwelling nerds. (*breath in sigh fo relief*)|||I completely missed this event till right now. I'm a little sad about it, but not surprised. The Stardock forums got so overwhelmed by dipshits it made meaningful discussions impossible.
These special people come in two* polarizing flavors, blind worshipper and narcissistic ******. The latter having nothing better to do than unconstructively criticize and demoralize with every post. The former unable to stop worshipping Frogboy long enough to be objective about anything.
It's all to bad because I really enjoyed Frogboys participation, especially in the beta and early launch . Early on you could get in a debate with him about design direction or balance issues and actually come away feeling like it accomplished something. Now his posts are like a lightning rod for malcontents looking to score off him, the conversation goes nowhere useful, etc.
*classic trolls not included|||I'm not surprised at all - unfortunately. I stopped posting on the Stardock forums pretty much, it's all whining, complaining and flaming. If you try to actually have a meaningful dicussion it will eihter go off topic or cause a sh!t storm, sometimes on the first page. Developer posts and discussions are used for user venting. There is no way a developer can find any useful information in a timely fashion or at all.
Maybe we can establish a better Demigod forum with interesting topics here away from all the meaningless noise.|||Smells like butthurt|||I think there needs more to be more mods on that forum.|||The people on the demigod forums need to learn manners.|||i'd volunteer to be a mod over there; i'd be happy to delete a few frivolous posts and threads.|||BulletMagnet|||I'll pass thanks, I had/have enough trouble with some people here, And I bet those over at the SD forums will get real nasty real fast once some one tries to clean up I bet.
Mike|||In short: their community sucks.|||OrangeKnight|||Techubus|||Tommy Sprat
