Are u an ex dota player? / why do you play demigod?

[:1]Hey guys i was just wondering how many of you demigod players are familiar with dota. And what feelings do u have about demigod because i do not know how it has been received by the community.



This is gonna sound rude and its all just personal opinion but i found demigod incredibly boring and slow and downright retarded. I have played a lot of HoN and find it fast and much much better. And far more suitable for competitive play.



Anyway. Ill keep an open mind since i dont know demigod fully but please enlighten me.. Why the heck does ne one play it? O_O

54|||I have never played dota, but HoN/LoL betas alone sealed me from playing demigod ever again.|||54pikachus|||Never heard of DoTa. Heroes of Newerth looks ******* hideous and I dont want to have to learn several million Heroes
Thats why ^^|||imho HoN is much more polished, better functions and such stuff. HoN is much deeper



Demigod is much easier to get into though, funnier to pickup and play. shallower, kinda|||I played quite a few DoTA Allstars game in Wc3, never liked it that much though.



I played 10 games of HoN then couldn't take it anymore, textures that blend together and the fact I cant play without tactical zoom gets extra obvious when you get your face smashed into the ground. the speed is just insane, it gives a illusion of action I suppose a lot of people like. That its just a Exact copy of Dota allstars makes me wonder why I would ever play it when I can just as well play DoTA.



I played a lot of Demigod and enjoyed it, the ladder/matchmaking is lacking though, but this is still my favorite of the games. once in game it's hands down the best quality of games, A bit slower but its more about tactics then just big gangbangs.



League of Legends, which is my second favorite is quite nice really. The graphics are well defined, camera is at least decently zoomed out. Some varied new heroes and not just pure copies. Ive been playing this a lot lately with my friends due to it being totally free to play and we are having quite an awesome time really.|||I play Demigod instead of the other two because Demigod looks less cartoonish.|||Benny Moore|||Benny Moore|||Z32|||I think DotA could have benefited from a less cartoonish look. The whole atmosphere and arrogant attitude of the pros makes it not worth it for me anymore.|||My biggest beef with DoTA is ultimately that it's been really stifling the creativity in the mapping community. DoTA is like, half the hosted games.|||WNxWolfinator|||dota and hon have very hostile communities. just the other day a guy told me he wanted me to get cancer and die a slow painful death because i was nooby at the game. but if u play with friends it fine. most games have horrible communities ne way. except supcom and stalker. (stalker being the best i have ever encountered)
