Just played Pantheon and we had 3 players in the game. No AI teammate for the player on the other team. TL;DR: he quit after a while (who would blame him) and I tested a new build while my ally ended the game as swiftly as possible.
@GPG: Is it possible to check on gamestart how many players are in the game and at least fill the empty slots with AIs?
Maybe you can talk to Frogboy and find a solution.
Ive heard of unbalanced teams but really, 2v1 when capping flags is the goal? Thats kinda harsh.|||If you have an AI, you've lost just as much as if you have nobody.|||DeadMG|||AI's aren't completely useless, you've just got to make use of them.
I've been shafted with an AI before against 2 humans, I just went for a DPS build and used the AI as a meatshield. It can actually be advantagous because there's less competition for kills, so you get more gold and exp.|||I agree that the AI used to fill in for dropped players is pretty useless. However keep in mind that this gametype is all about capping flags and even the most stupid AI can stand next to a flag post for a few seconds.
The main problem with the AI is that it feeds constantly because it doesnt run away fast enough. Even worse, it tries to use teleports. Teleporting is fracking useless against a decent human opponent, it gives him 2-3 seconds to mutilate you further and to finish you off with an interrupt spell.
I think the hard AI would already play half decent if it would invest in speed items and run when it is facing a clearly better opponent. Or even better: have it buy a health potion instead of a teleport scroll.
Still, in a domination game you have absolutely no chance whatsoever in a 2v1 situation. Even flag locks cant save you. An AI would at least be able to recapture a flag from time to time.|||Yep I had a 4 games 2 v 1 in a 5 games stretch this weekend where I was the 1 I would have preferred the bot in all modes except slaughter
