I bring grave tidings.

[:1]The Demon is amongst us!|||Heh, care to enlighten? I found him fragile as hell and very difficult to balance all his needs, especially early on.

I feel like there is potential for serious *** kicking, especially once warp strike gets maxed at lvl 15. But damn, getting there and getting the needed cash is tough. It seems like BotF is the only viable favor item too.|||So far I would have to agree, there are lots of useful skills but they need loads of mana. So either you try BotS, which will leave you squishy, or you rely on criticals and go for health stacking.

Now if you play with a really experienced team DA is a powerful tool. He will get you the kills you usually wouldn't get or force your opponents to blow gold on Sigils and potions. However, DA doesn't seem to have the capability to push on his own and will have to retreat when he faces an UB, Erebus, Oak or Sedna. He also lacks a skill to remove the DoT effekt of Spit, has no fast way of retreat like Erebus, lacks Monks, can't outdamage Sednas heals...

He will shine against Regulus though! Mines don't bother him much, MotB slows don't matter when he can switch places with Regulus, he can close the gap fast and does enough damage to outlast Reg.

Shadow Swap will be one mean skill to defend the gold flag on Cataract too... :)|||People say DA makes Reg and TB pointless :/|||Spooky|||So I got an email from stardock telling me the patch unlocks the Demon guy but impulse doesn't say there's a new update and he's still grayed out...|||the 1.2 patch included him legion so you dont have to patch, all you have to do is logon to the multiplayer once and he should be unlocked.|||Alright.|||Sevenix|||Techubus|||Basically his passives suck, but his swap and warp+burst dmg is so good that it doesnt matter. Basically if he has a teammate and he sees an enemy he swaps, dead. Only major health stack or erebus can escape that and imho tats wrong, erebus is OP enough, Ranged is worthless enough.|||Spooky|||Personally I think shadow swap is rather useless :P|||Useless? USELESS?|||Shadow Swap is pretty good, especially with warp strike. That said, he doesn't seem to be competitive with the top tier demigods (LE, Sed, Oak, UB).|||That's true, but he's absolute murder on Regulus and Torch Bearer.|||Personally I think we now have a new worst Demigod :P
I mean a decent TB or Reg at least has a slight chance of holding a lane. Demon Assassin doesnt. Ever. Unless its against another DA|||That's preposterous. A good Demon Assassin can chase off my Torch Bearer every time. Regulus, too, can't face him toe-to-toe. Also, no, Torch Bearer cannot hold a lane. Neither can Regulus, really; not for long.

Demon Assassin's real strength, though, is using Shadow Swap to keep Regulus or Torch Bearer from running away. I recall a game where I was Torch Bearer, one of my allies was Demon Assassin, and our other ally was Oak. Oak would zap Regulus with a slow, I would hit him with a fireball and then ice rain, and Demon Assassin would warp-strike and tail-spike. At this point I would usually be too heavily damaged by the three enemy demigods and would retreat; however, the enemy Regulus was also heavily damaged and retreating. But since we had a Demon Assassin and they did not, I was able to retreat and Regulus was not. He was thrown back into the thick of it with Shadow Swap. And since I was now well away from the other two enemy demigods, I was able to throw another fireball at him with complete safety while my allies hit him with melee attacks. By the end of the game Regulus had a ton of deaths and we had a ton of kills. He wasn't a poor Regulus, either. It was simply that Regulus can't survive against Shadow Swap in a three-on-three fight.|||I must be playing DA wrong then. Because most of the time I shadow swap and then die because the other DG's just switch their target to me
And dont say warp strike out because the range of shadow swap aint that great until level 10 so Im still exposed|||yeah your doing it wrong. Swap, UB spits stuns ooze you warp back spine attack dead.|||He's excellent for Ganking.

Demigod is not a game built around Ganking. It's more a game of attrition.

Therefor, DA is fairly limited in use.|||Yeah, I think I agree. Though I still think a monstrous demon build is lurking in the shadows.|||Lifekatana|||I agree with you!
